Each week we’ll listen to one sad country song, sit quietly and write, and share work if we feel like it. This is not a class, not a workshop, a performance, or group therapy. There’s no pressure to share, no fixing, and no expectations — just honest songs in a small room.

Do I have to share what I write?
Nope. Sharing is always optional. You can just listen and write quietly.
Do I need to be a "good songwriter" to attend?
Not at all. This is for anyone who writes or wants to write. Beginners are welcome.
Is it in-person or online?
Both. You can attend in-studio in Grand Forks, or join online. The RSVP form lets you choose.
Where is the studio?
I’ll send the exact address after you RSVP (limited space, simple logistics).
What should I bring?
A notebook or laptop, something to write with, and (if you want) a guitar. You don’t need to perform.
Is this a lesson or a workshop or a therapy group or a club?
It’s neither. It’s a songwriting room. We focus on the song and the craft, and we keep it respectful.
What if I can't make it every week?
Totally fine. This is a drop-in room — come once or come weekly.
